SPRING 2025 – Ensuring children have access to nutritious meals during the summer months is a vital community need, and the Manhattan Community Health Foundation is stepping up to help.
“Summer is one of our favorite times at BGC. The summer months allow us to spend all day with the youth we serve, creating lasting memories and building Great Futures. It is also a time when we and our youth temporarily lose access to school-based programs that support vital aspects of our services, including access to nutritious snacks and meals. We are grateful to the Manhattan Community Health Foundation Community Health and Wellness Awareness Program for providing funds to bridge this gap, helping us ensure that our young people have the healthy fuel they need to continue growing and learning during the summer months.”
Hannah Coash Frye, CEO, Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan
This grant will directly contribute to the purchase of healthy food, including whole grains, dairy products, and fresh produce. By supporting this program, MCHF is helping to ensure that youth in our community have access to the nutrition they need to learn, grow, and succeed.
