Who was Mary Lindquist
Mary Susan Heidrick Lindquist (1951-2007) was a dedicated member of the Manhattan community, remembered for her courage and inspiration during a six-year battle with cancer. A graduate of Beloit High School (1969), she earned a degree in biological sciences from Kansas State University (1973) and a degree in medical records administration from the University of Kansas Medical Center (1974). Her commitment to healthcare and the Manhattan community inspired the establishment of the Mary Lindquist Auxiliary Scholars program in her honor. This scholarship, a testament to her legacy, supports individuals pursuing medical education.
