The Manhattan Community Health Foundation supported Paige Symons in achieving her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse (RN). Paige received support that enabled her to continue her education and reach this important milestone. We had a chance to learn a bit more about her journey.
Paige’s dedication to nursing shines through in her words about her experience working at the hospital while pursuing her RN degree.
Could you tell us what motivated you to continue your nursing program? Having a supportive workplace and family was the biggest motivator. I was able to work here in the hospital as an LPN during my RN program, and all my colleagues were supportive. They were kind enough to help teach and be a good support system for me to lean on when needed while in school. Having that support system made transitioning into my RN role much easier.
What do you tell people about your experience at the hospital? I continue to love working on the medical floor here in Manhattan. My colleagues make this an enjoyable workplace.
