Kiley, a junior at K-State on the pre-Physician Assistant track, brings enthusiasm and a genuine love for people to her volunteer roles. Juggling her Kinesiology and Integrative Physiology major, her campus club memberships, and a job at the library, Kiley still finds time to volunteer in both the Birth and Women’s Clinic and on the Medical/Surgical floor.
For Kiley, volunteering provides a strong “sense of purpose.” She views her time as an opportunity to be a helpful member of the community, stating, “I am able to help people and that’s the whole goal.”
“It feels wonderful knowing I am a helpful member of the community. I enjoy learning about other people and seeing their joy.”

She particularly enjoys the personal connections she makes, whether it’s helping visitors find where they need to go or spending time with people’s families while they wait. “I enjoy learning about other people and seeing their joy,” she shares. Kiley wants the community to know that volunteers truly care: “We devote our time to learning and being helpful. Asking questions is always okay, and that is why we are here to help.”
