“The foundation has evolved to be a greater supporter of the greater needs of the community vs a singular project oriented effort.”
— Rich Jankovich, Board Treasurer
Why did you feel compelled to join this foundation’s board? The foundation does outstanding work to support not just our hospital but also the entire community healthcare community and community at large. The foundation has evolved to be an inclusive and broad supporter since its inception.
What is the one thing you want the community to know about the impact of the foundation? I believe the work of foundation gets lost in the noise surrounding the overall conversations about quality of care in the community. I sincerely hope that we can find additional funding to help support the recruitment of new medical practitioners as well as the needs of the hospital to be as cutting edge and welcoming as possible.
When you envision the future of healthcare in Manhattan, what do you hope it looks like? I believe with the aging population we can support more critical care needs for cancer and geriatric needs. The foundation has and will continue to support efforts to bring a higher level of care for these needs as those opportunities arise.
