Working together makes a stronger community, and the vital partnership between the Manhattan Community Health Foundation and Memorial Hospital Foundation exemplifies this beautifully.
“The Memorial Hospital Association has supported the Manhattan Community Health Foundation since our inception. We recognize and appreciate the central position the hospital plays in providing health care to all the citizens of Riley County and the surrounding area, addressing acute medical conditions as well as providing ongoing rehabilitation and recovery services. The hospital has been an integral part of the Manhattan community in so many ways and the Memorial Hospital Association is proud to partner in its ongoing mission to provide quality, compassionate healthcare services for our area.”
David Pauls, MD, Board Chair, Memorial Hospital Foundation
The Memorial Hospital Association is a private foundation established from the funds received after the sale of the Memorial Hospital campus to Kansas State University as part of the transfer agreement creating Ascension Via Christi Hospital-Manhattan. The mission of the foundation is funding health and wellness services for the people of Riley County, Kansas, and the surrounding area. MHA grants focus on projects that address significant issues in the community health needs assessment. These can include improving access to health care, mental health, social services, health education, safe shelter and housing, food, violence prevention, and more.
